Uneventful Week

I'm back to my pseudo-boring life again! I opted not to go out with the "gang" as much since they usually go to restaurants for lunch. Pretty expensive! Even Hanna was shocked when I told her that my friends always eat out for lunch.

We pretty much tried every restaurant, except for the very expensive ones! Eating out leads to two things:

1. I spend too much (more that Y500 a meal)
2. We end up late for our afternoon class

I don't know if I'll have enough excuses to beg off. oh well!

I was very happy a couple of days ago! Mama called my cellphone. They were using a phone card so we only talked for about less than 10 minutes. I got to talk to Papa for a bit and to Ditch!
I was refreshing to speak a bit of Ilonggo once in a while.

Yesterday in class, 石黒先生 (Ishiguro-sensei) gave us our schedule for next week. On Wednesday, we are going to have a Kanji test. Oh no! I only attend Kanji class once a week, since the class is only for zero-level students. The other classes, I have beginner-level classes. Oh well. Thank God for my Chinese background! The よみかた will give me some problems. I'll probably study harder.

Also, sometime in June, we will have a BIG test, wherein the scores will be given to our adviser. I would need to know 170 kanji by then. I'm a bit nervous.

Things are getting a bit fast since I have to study grammar plus kanji. but we'll see!

moderation in all things is good. trust in your smart judgement. ^_^

about the 170 kanji...is it something you need to rote memorize (then they test you on it), or is it totally random kanji? And is it kanji as individual characters, or in combination?

also, what is the brand and model of your keitai? I'm curious to see what it looks like. hehe

Good luck with the Kanji. Parents were very happy to talk to you that time.

Don't worry so much about making excuses or about the money -- just try to relax, enjoy your stay and make the best of everything.
