An Expensive Golden Week

The "gang" decided to go to Yokohama which is famous for its Chinatown. It's probably a cultural thing, but I wasn't really that impressed. (I know it's bad) But if you've seen one Chinatown, everything almost looks the same. But since it was Golden Week (a very looong holiday), the place was packed! The first thing we had to do was eat! (of course!) We went to a 食べほた (Tabehotai/Eat-all-you-can restaurant). The queues here are AMAZING!!! Probably because of the holiday.

Here we are, queueing for our restaurant! We actually queued for 1 hour!!!

But why queue for an hour? The restaurant's buffet has 100 dishes!!! Yahoo!!! a bit expensive though, Y2080! I wanted to take a before and after shot, but to my dismay, my phone ran out of batteries!!! AAARRGGHH!!! Now I know what Toad meant about rechargeable batteries and the beauty of AA's! So I wasn't able to take pictures of the food!!!! WAAAH!

I took this before we went to the restaurant. They had an array of mooncakes (which is odd since Mid-Autumn Festival isn't til August or September?) They didn't have snowskin though!

On Saturday, I went to the Kunitachi Cultural Center where they had a Recycle Garage Sale. I was excited since I could get bargains here!

And I did! I got this Uniqlo jacket. for guess what??? Y50!!! And 2nd-hand stuff here seems like new! Don't worry. I checked first if it smells or has "stains" of some sort! It was perfect. They actually wash it and clean it before selling it!

On Sunday I went to Kichijoji! Bought some stuff to send for home! hehe!

100 types of dishes...wow! Impressive indeed. Chinatown Best Food (in Banawe?), as I recall, had 60 types of dishes...though it's been more than 6 - 7 years since I've been there, and I don't know if they're still open.

Nice jacket. =)

I vote for the windmill hat. This way, one can jog (or walk about briskly) and recharge the batteries at the same time. ^_~
