Festivals and new faces

I went to Ikebukuro last Sunday to buy mooncakes for the Mid-Autumn Festival. It just so happened that there was a street-dancing festival there. So I snapped a number of pictures. There were so many events happening at the same time that I was so overwhelmed, hence, hurriedly tried to see everything. I also decided to eat at Ikebukuro since I was bored, slightly, with the food choices in Yotsuya. I went to this bar type place whic offered spicy katsu-curry. Katya would have loved it, but it wasn't spicy at all!

I met Natsuka-san for the last time, since her contract with me ended. I decided to treat her to the new pastry shop in Daigaku-doori called Sakura michi. They usually sell out fast, so I ended up with a nice red-bean with mango pastry and a regular red bean pastry.

The other pictures here is a Curry Udon set lunch and a mini Ika Ten Don.

As for the new faces part, new people have arrived in the international house. In my floor, I've first met Julien, a French guy. I might be delving into stereotypes here, but he is really passionate about everything as French people are. He is also a Manga, anime and cine-phile. His entire external hard disk is full of scanlations, and movies. He even has Asterix and Obelix in the original French. Glee! A kindred soul! Anyway, on his first day, I showed him around. And we ended in the Fugu shop that just newly opened in Fujimidori. He asked me if I wanted to try Fugu, since he hasn't. And we ended up eating Fugu sashimi. In one word, Rubber. It doesn't taste like anything. Oh well, this was Nerville's request for me to eat fugu and I have.

Other people in the floor would be, Josh, a Japanese-American. A number of Koreans. Although I just met one, Min. A Bangladeshi who seems to not talk to anyone, Vivien, a Canadian-Chinese.

Finally, I was "promoted" in Church from First reading to lector. My first time would be on November. At least the parents would be happy.
