Ditch, please don't print this!

Okay, reason for the weird title is that my sister usually prints my blog entries and gives it to my parents to read. According to my sister, they have a folder to keep all of my blog entries. Didn't want them to read some parts of this since they contain things you don't want your parents to know.

Moving on, seeing that my lifestyle was boring. I decided to treat myself to Kohikan for lunch. I've never eaten there here in Japan, but I liked them in Greenhills. Kohikan here is found in the basement of a building. Quaint. I ordered the pizza since I missed the breakfast menu (dang). The guy managing and manning everything in the shop was unusually friendly to me. (At least from what I know of Japanese people). I came to a point where he briefly sat with me and chatted for a bit. Later on, when I paid my bill, he shook my hand. Well, the bad side in me would think he is gay and is interested in me (kapal ko). The good side in me would think that he is just being friendly and treated me well so that I become a regular customer. Oh well.

On another note, I just came back from Comiket. I decided to go early, (a-la Genshiken, Khursten). Only to be welcomed by the MASS of people who were already there. The event was pretty organized, to the point that I actually felt like a sheep being herded (don't know if this is right) from one point to another. I arrived at 9:00 and was only able to enter the site at 10:30.

As I mentioned....people, people and more people. But the nice thing is that the site is soooo huge that it wasn't that crowded (as Genshiken portrayed it). Firstly, thanks to Khursten for teaching me what can be Yaoi or Yuri, else I would've accidentally bought either. My plan for Comiket was simple, go to places I am interested in, which is simple food manga. Unfortunately from the Catalogue, it was only Yakitate!!! which seemed food related. However, when I excitedly picked up some stuff from the Yakitate booths to browse (I really had to check). All of the Yakitate doujins are nasty.....(imagine, the first doujin I browsed featured Azuma and Kuroyanagi doing the nasty....then there is one with Kanmuri and Kawachi)....everything was...was...Yaoi....dang...the only "clean" thing was a stationary set...oh well.

Luckily, the sibs gave up on a lot of things, else I would have gone on a shopping spree. Tons of Ragnarok stuff (even real headgear). Tons of FF stuff (was tempted, but no!) In the end, I got myself a Star Ocean doujin (I loved playing it because of the cooking), a Naruto doujin which was simply a re-telling of a storyline and FFVII doujin.

I went to the Cosplay site. Man, it was sooooo hot. I pitied the cosplayers since they were doing it in the heat of summer. Was only able to take meager pictures since the rules state that I have to ask the cosplayers' permission before I can take a picture. Plus, there was a rule about keitai cameras which I couldn't understand yet. (And I couldn't use the bakagaijin card, since I look Asian, dang!!!) There were looong lines for cosplayers and I wasn't really that patient. So I managed to just take a couple.

My assesment: If you are into nasty-type doujins, Comiket is full of them...hehe! The company booths were tooo crowded, that I wasn't really able to get freebies. Pictures are one thing for cosplayers, but to be there and just watch them is another experience. All-in-all, based on this experience I would definitely try to go to the winter comiket.

LOL @ entry title. ^_^

Kohikan branch in Greenhills is closed, replaced by PeriPeri Chicken (which is supposed to be quite good according to some blogs, but Toad & I never got to try it)

The pizza looks delicious, and it's nice to indulge in such treats once in a while. ^_^

Re: Mass of people. ohmygoodness O_O

It is good that you checked the doujin first. (Thanks Khursten also ^_^)

"Luckily, the sibs gave up on a lot of things..."

I am amused by your use of the word "nasty" -- a whole new dimension of meaning right there. ^_^

The cosplayer photos are nice! The outfits are cool.
