A couple of days ago, I had a triple treat. Firstly, I was able to chat with Lai and Clark. Haven't been able to chat with Lai at all since I came to Japan since our "internet" hours are usually far apart. (I'm a morning person and Lai has her beauty sleep :P) I usually catch Clark every Friday afternoons, but for the past weeks I wasn't able to chat with him. (One reason was that I wasn't online for a while to study and Clark told me his PC was busted). It was nice and long, unfortunately, it had to end! Thanks guys!I was also able to talk to Ditch, Johann and my parents this week. Just the usual stuff! But at the same time, another friend, Gabby, caught me online. Gabby is currently studying at NUS and I've been trying to help her by telling here where to go. She is lucky since she got a full scholarship and a dormitory! :)
Today, I just got a blast from the past! I got an email from Rosby, Nowd and Toad's batchmate from Ateneo who became my roomie! He saw me at Church, unfortunately I was a reader and he didn't wait for me after mass! He is going home for the summer this Friday, hopefully we can meet before that!
The first three pictures is the dessert for the week from Natsuka-san. It is shaped like a raccoon dog. The taste is similar to the chick pastry I posted before. I hope I don't get violent reactions by biting this one's head off! haha!
The last picture is ramen from this particular shop. I'm not sure how to read it in Japanese but in Chinese it means 10,000 flavors (萬味). Yokota-sensei recommended this place to me when he discovered that I loooooved ramen. He told me the name (which I forgot) but he also told me that the name is the old kanji for 10,000 which isn't used anymore. Luckily I still remember a bit of Chinese from grade school. What I orderd is a blast from Iloilo. They call it nira or niwa ramen. But it looked and tastes like Batchoy! OMG, I miss home! hehe! The only difference is that this one is a bit too salty (yes even for me) and they didn't have black pepper (which I always put in Batchoy). Anyway, Thanks to Ker Wee for coming with me during this time!
Finally, I am excited for Friday since I am going to the summer Comic Market at the Tokyo Big Sight. Expect loads of picture from cosplayers (If I get the courage to ask them if I can take their pictures).

Raccoon dog = Tanuki? Cute! ^__^ Such delicious-looking and interesting goodies.
yeah, 萬 (ban/man/yoruzo) is written as this 万 na (but we were taught to write it in the old style =). And 味 is read as mi or aji? My Nelson doesn't have a listing for both characters together so I don't know the correct reading either. ^^;;
It would indeed be a good idea to ask the cosplayers first.
hey karl! i'm adding you up on my list of links in my blog. ^_^
