Sorry for the delay....what was special last Thursday? I decided to cut my hair. Haha! After a year and a half of stubbornly having long hair, I finally decided to spend 4100 yen to have a haircut. What was my reason? I shed hair far worse than a cat and it messes up my room, so instead of sweeping everyday, I'd rather cut my hair. Lol!

Friday, me, Dina and Cheska went to watch Wicked. I liked how consumerism pervades in Japan. While waiting for the theatre to open, we enjoyed a drink at "Wicked Cafe" (actually it was just the theatre's cafe which changes the names of the drinks and food based on the plays ongoing.) I had an El Faba brew (which is basically Green Tea Latte). I went a bit overboard buying souvenirs, but it's a once in a lifetime experience. One thing I found interesting, was that plays have local twists to them, depending on the actors. I found parts which weren't funny in the English version totally funny in the Japanese version.

Today, Cris recommended a nice spot for me to explore. The place is called 鳩ノ巣 (Hato no Su). It is about an hour away from me but it is one of the stations closest to Tama River. Cris and his son went there and bathed but I just wanted a nice place to do some work and wade. (I'm a wader not a swimmer). The place was unbelievable...even if I wanted to bathe in the river, I couldn't because the current was too strong. But went to the riverbank which was sooo cool (as in breezy). Went trekking around, looking for the exact place Cris went, since his spot had an udon shop beside the river. What I found was a curry shop....the effect wasn't the same, but oh well!
