It turned out to be a very dull week for me. Although good in terms of research. Was able to find a lot of articles sort of related to my research (yay).Anyway, Angel just arrived for Bulgaria, so me, Ker Wee, Angel and Diaby went out for okonomiyaki (picture is somewhere here).
Saturday turned out to be sooo great. So much food and activities. Tachikawa, a station away from Kunitachi held its Summer Festival 夏祭. So me and Ker Wee decided to cycle there (instead of taking the train).
Highlights for the night would be the dancing and the different booths lined up along the parade grounds. Establishments try to take advantage of the festival. Such as one picture here of "Bunnies" selling kakigori (They are from the Pachinko Place - "gambling place"). The funny thing was a beauty parlor also selling kakigori. (haha...). A lot of interesting food. Although I only tried the corn (which they grilled and then brushed soy sauce on it, so it tasted sweet). A cute thing in the festival were these "backpack balloon" of bottled drinks. I wanted to buy a Qoo one, but the mechanics of getting them is that you draw a lot and the design is randomnly chosen. Oh well. I had such a great time.
Bigger festivals were scheduled, however, I stupidly thought that the schedules of the festivals were on September, but it was August. Argh!!!Oh well. Classes start on Wednesday.

cool that you get to bike to places. pls take a pic of your bike sometime...am curious to see it. =) Nice pics of the festival. good luck with your classes! =)
