Amachou 海士町

Last Thursday, for Cross-Cultural Class, we attended a presentation by middle school students from Amachou. The presentation was linked with a seminar class that usually goes to that place. We are supposed to go there on September, but I opted not to go since I'm not sure if I would have classes scheduled and would miss. Too bad though, Amachou is very much close to the sea. But the presentation was very nice.
One of the dances they performed involved wooden spatulas which they gave to us. I'm probably sending to Iloilo for my parents!

On another note, the vegetarian place where I eat often is closing. The entire place will be torn down to build something different. Such a great loss, since I haven't tried everything from them. For my last meal with them, I ordered bihon. I guess I was feeling a bit homesick and wanted to eat something slightly familiar.

For Thursday tutorial, Natsuka-san gave me a package of chestnut pastries, shaped like chestnusts. hehe! The outside, like most of the Japanese pastries of this kind, tasted like pancakes and the inside was a nice rich chestnut paste! Yummy!

I hope you find another veggie place. ^_^

The latest pastries look yummy! I don't eat stuff with processed sugar anymore, so I can just look. ^_^
