I planned not to sleep last Tuesday since I thought we had a HUGE test on Wednesday. The test is on 2 chapters of vocabulary, which I have yet to learn and 26 chapters of kanji. I've studied about 25, but I takes me a while to study a new chapter. So I reviewed kanji and the vocabulary, for about four hours. I planned to do a midnight run to Family mart (combini) to buy some stuff. I was shocked to find out that it closes at 11 pm. Dang! Not so convenient, deshou? So I had to walk to Saeki, our 24 hour grocery store.
I managed to start studying the new kanji around 1 am. But ended up falling asleep. I woke up again around 4 or 5 am and studied again. I really wasn't able to do my daily exercise for the morning since I a bit exhausted.
But to my surprise, the test ended up to be too easy! Dang! I was happy that it was easy, but all that studying was for naught (is this right?)
Anyway, if you are wondering about the picture, it is what Natsuka-san gave me this Monday. It is a cuuuuute sweet. I had to take a photo of it every step. The box is pretty. The packaging is pretty and the pastry itself is shaped like a chick!
Sooo kawaii, deshou! But after biting it's head off, (hehe) inside is a sweet filling. A bit dry, (not yema though). Tasted like uncooked cookie dough or something.
There were about 5 pieces. I gave one to Ker Wee-san who helps me read stuff I couldn't read, especially letters. And the last one I saved for the next day's snack.
Going back to yesterday, being disappointed that the test wasn't that hard, the "gang" tried again to go to this ramen place that Yokota-sensei recommended. Unfortunately, it was still too full for 5 people. So we ended up in this nice cafe across the street. The cafe served a variety of items. The ambience is antique retro. Me and Ker Wee ordered the pi-rafu (pilaf) dish which came with coffee and soup. It was soo nice! Ker Wee commented that it tasted much like Chahan (fried rice).
I'm sort of a garbage can anyway so I don't care! hehe!
