Headless Chicken

It is day two for me here in Japan. Yesterday was interesting and tiring at the same time. Despite the exhaustion of just waiting, I arrived at my dorm which turned out to be different from the one e-mailed to me.

Currently I am staying at the Kunitachi International House. Very near the university. But I was supposed to be staying at the Kodaira one. Good thing I was actually housed here.

However, my first problem arose when I needed to purchase my own beddings and pillow. I had to satisfy myself with a shquare. I feel asleep late in the evening and woke up pretty early.

My meals consist of going to any combini or grocery until I have settled in.

Another problem which I am currently encountering is that most of the people here cannot really speak in English. Although they try. I am actually jealous at my new friends, Zum and Li who are JLPT 1 and 2.

Oh well. I hope to remedy this soon.

We went on a "campus" tour today, which was in Japanese. Although the school was nice enough to give us English translators, who tried, in fairness to them.

After that, we were left to our own devices. Which scared me a bit because I did not really know what to do. In the end, the stuff I needed to attend to were not required so I lingered within the general area of Kunitachi.

Good news! Bought YAKITATE! Japan vol.1 and will slowly try to read it.

Bad news! I finally found a LAWSON combini, but they seem to no longer carry YAKITATE pan!

Dang!

Oh well!
